Temperature Ch. 5 {Last Chapter}

Around 3 AM Jayson woke up from Isis’s bed and snuck out the house to find a more ‘quiet’ place to think—a cemetery.
“Ah, it’s nice to come here again…” he said, “now only to come up with a plan to—I got it! I love Isis, so much... I NEED her with me forever… but how can we be together with all the MORTALS around.” His smirk grew wider and he then busted out into a hysterical laugh. “They’ll just have to “Get Missing” heh, heh, heh,”

Later that evening, Jayson and his sister Loa were downstairs watching TV; she kept checking and re-rechecking the time on her iPhone.
“Jayson, do you know where the heck dad went? He was supposed to take me to work thirty minutes ago!”
“Well, he told me he went fishing with some friends,”
Loa gave a confused looks, “Why would he do that, knowing that he’s my only ride?”
“I have no idea sis,” he shrugged.
“Ugh, now I have to call off,” Loa angrily stomped back to her room.
Soon later Isis came down and greeted Jayson with a small kiss, “Hey, think you have time to help me study later on?”
He smiled and gave her a hug, “Of course I can sweetie,”
“Awesome, Oh and did you happen to maybe hear from my dad? He was supposed to be back from his business trip,”
“Um, the last thing I heard was that he went to a conference meeting out in the city I believe,”
“That’s so weird; he usually tells us when he’ll be home or busy…”

Later around eight o’ clock, Isis was out back picking some of the weeds for her mom, Elaine came out running.
“Isis, have you seen mom? I can’t find her anywhere!” she cried.
“I thought she was in the house, go ask Loa.”
                “I can’t find her either…”
All of this didn’t sound right to her, “I’ll call Jayson, see if he knows” she said as she dialed her phone.
                “Hey babe,”
“Hey Hun, I was wondering if you knew where my mom and Loa went,”
“I believe your mother went to the hair salon and Loa probably went to the mall with her girlfriends, I’m not sure,” his voiced seemed rushed as if he was outdoors, “sorry to cut you short—gotta go love ya bye,”
“Oh... B-bye...” she said softly after he hung up.
Few hours later Isis was watching TV, the door opened and entered Jayson. He walked right past her and went upstairs not saying a word.
What’s his deal? She decided to follow behind him, upstairs he went into the bathroom and Isis could hear the shower running. She looked down at the footprints and saw fresh mud; she stood near the door a little longer then went into her room.
“What the hell is he hiding from me…” she said to herself. She sat on her bed thinking and waiting for Jayson to get out the shower. About twenty minutes later he came into her room, he tried to give her a kiss on the cheek but she shoved him away and walked off.
                “What’s wrong?”
Isis sighed, “What was with the silent entrance, and why were you covered with mud?”
“Oh, it was just some after school sports activity, it was very tiring,”
Feeling slightly relieved Isis felt not as suspicious, “Ohhhh, ok. You had me worried there,” she grinned and patted a spot on her bed “Care to sleep here tonight?”
Without thinking he clearly agreed to spend the night with Isis again. He planted multiple kisses on her lips, “I Love you Isis,”
                “I love you too Jayson.”
Early that morning Isis woke up to an empty bed, she became confused and wondered where he went.
Soon then her little sister Elaine ran into her room with tears in her eyes.
“MOMMA NEVER CAME BACK; NO ONE KNOWS WHERE SHE IS! I CALLED ALL HER FRIENDS AND EVEYRTHING! MOMMA’S GONE!”
“Woah, woah, relax Elaine she can’t be—“
“No!  Jayson has gone crazy Isis! He took Momma, and his own family!!! He’s going to take us next!”
Isis couldn’t believe her ears, “E-Elaine!”
“Mom wouldn’t believe me, but you gotta believe me sis! Jayson is killing everyone! He killed Chase! I heard him say it! I swear!”
“What’s gotten into you?! Ok look, I’ll take you to grandmas and you can recollect yourself there ok, and I’ll find mom,”
Elaine pulled onto her sister’s hand.  “you must come to, or Jayson will kill you!”
“Relax, I’ll be ok, just let me get my keys and we’ll be on our way,”
                Elaine was still unhappy, “Fine….”
After dropping Elaine off Isis went in to place the mail on the kitchen table.
‘I wonder what made her say such things…it almost scared me, I don’t know. Maybe she watched a really scary movie or something. I still can’t get ahold of mom either, or Loa’
Coming back into the living room, Isis realized that every light was turned off.
“Why is it so dark?” she looked upstairs to see if anyone was up there—nothing.
“There you are…” said a voice out of nowhere.
“God Jay! Don’t scare me like that!” she cried.
Jayson just looked into her eyes, but it was creeping her out more than anything.
                “w-what?”
He gave her a kiss on the cheek, “I missed you Isis….”
“Heh, oh. I missed you as well.” She smiled, “but why is it so dark? And I still cant find my mom.”
Ignoring all her questions he asked where Elaine was.
“You just ignored my questions? And why do you need to know?”
                “Where is Elaine?!?!” he shouted.
                “What’s wrong with you?!?!”
                “God Dammit!”
Isis was so confused by his quick shift of anger, but everything slowly started to piece together, “Jayson…what did you do?”
He lowered his voice and clenched his fist, “What should have been done long ago…”
Her voice began to shake in fear, “What do you mean?”
He opened out his arms to the open space, “I’m saying that the house is to us now! No one to intrude!”
Isis stepped back in fear, “J-Jayson….”
He sighed and pulled her back into his arms, “I’m sorry my love, I’m just saying that we can finally be alone.”
She pulled away again, not knowing what to put for words.
“Yeah, the story is true,” he said calmly, “I killed them… ALL OF THEM! DEAD FOREVER! But it was for US baby! So we can be forever!”
Isis’s heart was practically beating out her chest, Jayson WAS crazy! But she managed to quickly come up with a plan, “W-wow Jay, that’s… nice, I need to use the bathroom. Be right back!”
She darted up the stairs to the restroom and locked the door.
“HE’S A FUCKING LOON!” the whispered out loud, “HE….KILLED… MY FAMILY, HIS FAMILY TO!” tears began to swell up “I must call 911, then go to Jayson and pretend that I don’t think he’s crazy, which would be hard to bear…” she gave a deep inhale then exhaled. “Ok… you got this.”
She quietly called 911 and explained her situation, hoping they’ll come in time. She looked in the mirror for the last time and went back downstairs to an angry looking Jayson. He got up and got into her face.
“You called the cops didn’t you?”
“N-No…Sweet...ie I would never do that!”
“YOU’RE SUCH A LIAR, YOU WONT TELL ME WHERE ELAINE IS AND NOW YOU CALL THE POLICE ON ME!” he screamed as he kicked furniture around with rage, “DO YOU EVEN LOVE ME??!?!”
                “I…I-I- D—“
“You’re breaking my heart Isis! I thought we had something special…something REAL!” he gave an aggravated sigh, “Even so…… I STILL LOVE YOU ISIS; I want us to be together forever!!”
“Y-yeah, let’s just do that... Babe”
                “YOU LIE!”
Getting annoyed with his craziness she stood up to say what she really felt, “Fine! I hate you! You’re fucking CRAZY!!! Ugh, I can’t believe I put my trust in you… I can’t believe I allowed myself to have SEX with YOU!! You…. You are BEYOND CRAZY! WE ARE OVER JAYSON CHUN! I’LL NEVER BE WITH YOU!” She turned away from him and said, “I’m out of here,”
Before she could even walk away Jayson pulled her back by her hair, “Listen here BITCH, you cant just walk away that easily! Besides, every possible exit it nailed shut. We’re stuck together. FOREVER,” he then shoved her into a wall, “you’re lucky Chase is dead, because all you have is ME; And ONLY ME, I treated you like my lovely QUEEN! And this is the thanks I get?!?”
Isis stared at the bruise on her arm in shock, “how DARE you put your hands on me!!! I want you to rot in hell!”
Ignoring her words, Jayson smiled to himself, “Want to know a secret?”
                “No! You’re a sick person!”
His voice became calm again, “I visualize us dying together, and I dream of it to daily; that’s why I did what I did… all of it was—for you my love.” He gave a small chuckle “Y’know what’s funny? How easy it is to end a life, how easy it is to stop the human pulse, and how easy it is to burn a house down…” soon a crazy and twisted smirk came across his face. “It’s very simple ya know... OOOOOH so simple, but its better when you have that experience and that RUSH with the one you love.”
                “Wh-What?”
Jayson casually began pouring gasoline around the house as he continued talking, “I’m so happy to share this moment with you Isis, you have no idea,” He flicked a lighter, “No idea at all…”
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! D-Don’t throw that lighter!”
He extended his arm out, lighter in hand over the puddles of gasoline, “Be happy with me, I know you love me!”
                “S-St—“
“DON’T LIE TO ME!” he yelled as he dropped the lighter into the liquid, flames ignited everywhere, and smoke quickly rose around them, “Yes!! It has begun!!”
“YOU’RE FUCKING INSANE!” Isis shouted trying to find a way out the flames.
“We die together baby,” he cried, holding onto her hand.
She pulled away not wanting to be touched by such a devil like him, However she has finally realized her fate. She was going to die anyway, she put her trust into a guy she knew for some months and he turns out to be a crazy killer. The room was getting hot and Isis couldn’t breathe from the smoke intake, she fell to her knees, and managed to look up and see a dead burning body of Jayson Chun next to her with a hand on her leg.
‘So this is how I die….’ She gave one last small breath of air then closed her eyes into an internal slumber.
Years later, police investigators managed to get answers about the Chun and Sharp family murder from the lone survivor Elaine Sharp, who has lived with grandmother since the incident. It has been told and discovered that Jayson Chun Murdered and single handedly killed six people:
R.I.P
Chase Moore
Jeff Chun
Loa Chun
Jordan Sharp
Melissa Sharp
Isis Sharp
Also, a note written by Jayson was found at the crime scene of the burnt house of the Sharp family that stated:
What I done was reckless, but it got the job done, I am dead now and the world can now know that it was I that burned my family’s house down. Sadly they managed to survive but luckily we moved to the Sharp house. Where I met my soul mate Isis Sharp, I knew from the beginning her and I would die together with a bang covered in flames. Our body temperature would rise together as we decend to the afterlife. My work here is now done.

THE END
