So as I was on my Winter break, I have a lot of free time now, and the library near where I live is my new best friend. I usually don’t really find books that suit my “personality” but I’ve found few that hit it right on! Especially the recent novel I just finished not so long ago. It was called ‘Gamer Girl’ I forgot the Arthur (shame on me!) But the summery is that this girl Maddy Starr moves away from Boston to a public school because her parents divorced. But it’s not JUST a normal “New girl on the block” story because I can actually relate to this girl! She loves Manga,
I love Manga, and she loves RPG online Games, I Love online RPG games. So in the story her father givers her this online video game called Fields of Fantasy (Very similar to World of Warcraft) Maddy becomes attached to the game and chat/plays it her father on the game as well. She gets inspired from her custom online character and makes a manga based off it. Also because she found an online loved interest who goes by “SirLeo”. I’m not going to further for those who might be interesting in the book so I’ll stop there. And hopefully I’ll put the Arthur’s name in to soon. But yeah, I’m a bookworm by the way (mainly on the Manga side).
The other reason why I love books is because I love books that explain detail about our body (mainly the female body) and I’m a visual learner and I guess I could say I don’t get grossed out if I saw a realistic diagram/picture of a vagina (or Yoni as most women love to call) or Penis, (frankly I don’t give a damn really). And yes, I can say vagina and penis without giggling- even though I have to sugar coat it to “Va-Jay-Jay/Lady Parts and “Who Ha”/ding dong to some people. But to each their own I guess huh. But I’m serious, it’s always good to discover about your own body first rather than someone else telling it for you. Especially when it comes down to sexuality (but let’s save that for another topic on another day) what I’m really trying to say is: Books are good for you!!! Even if it’s short and simple
